Yerzat Meirambek 

I began my journey in Beijing, where I enrolled in Communication University of China to pursue a major in TV directing. Upon graduating, I embarked on my professional career at Kazakhstan's largest TV Channel, QAZAQSTAN. Over the span of more than 5 years, I honed my skills as a TV director, contributing to various projects ranging from documentaries to live and reality TV shows.

 

In 2021, I took a significant leap in my career path by enrolling in the New York Film Academy to delve deeper into the art of documentary filmmaking. During my two-year tenure, I immersed myself in the craft, producing five compelling short films and lending my expertise to numerous documentary projects in roles such as cinematographer, assistant director, and colorist.

 

The pinnacle of my academic journey came with the shortlisting of my film "Ten Days" for BAFTA Student Award 2023. This accolade was further underscored by selections in prestigious film festivals including the Newport Beach Film Festival, among others.

 

My thesis film, #CryptoScam, delved into the plight of victims ensnared in cryptocurrency scams, shedding light on their struggles and serving as a voice for the voiceless. As the film continues its festival circuit, I take pride in its impact and the stories it amplifies.

 

Presently, I serve as a video production specialist at Warmuth Law Offices, where I leverage my skills to craft compelling visual narratives. Additionally, I contribute my talents as a videographer and video editor at SeedsAcademy, further enriching my portfolio and expanding my horizons in the field of visual storytelling.

 

With each project and experience, I am fueled by a passion for storytelling and a commitment to capturing the essence of human experiences. As I continue to navigate the dynamic landscape of filmmaking, I remain dedicated to pushing boundaries, challenging norms, and amplifying voices that deserve to be heard.
